15 Apr The Fontenay Opens Its Doors To The Heart of Hamburg
Looking for a beautiful new five-star hotel to visit in Hamburg, Germany?
The new Fontenay hotel is a 130-room hotel footed at the shore of Lake Alster. The Fontenay is quoted to say on their website that the hotel is Germany’s largest waterfront city.
The Fontenay decided to shop local for their architect, enlisting the help of Hamburg-born, Jan Störmer. The expansive and distinct designs of the hotel has beautiful, fluid design and are unlike anything around the area.
It’s all in the details when it comes to The Fontenay. The wood flooring is sourced from a forest in France, extra-long beds (perfect for people like me), custom-made in Germany from Schramm Werkstätten with most of the views of the hotel facing the water.
The Fontenay will have three restaurants, with one cozy restaurant experience under the helm of the Chef Cornelius Speinle, Michelin-star awarded chef, of course.
Enjoy the lush gardens, the spa spanning 10,000 square feet and a large indoor and outdoor infinity pool.
The Fontenay Spa will be the first spa in the German region to have a La Mer label to it.
