18 Nov The New Tesla Roadster Is In The Works And It Will Be The World’s Quickest Production Car
The Tesla Roadster has returned!
The Tesla Roadster was their first and was introduced back in 2008 and after overcoming a decade of some setbacks, massive innovations and expansion, it’s back. I still remember driving it and the feeling of experiencing something completely different at the time.
It’s been quite the roadtrip for Tesla since their very first car.
One thing is for sure, it’s quick. It just might be the world’s quickest production car when it’s launched.
By the time you read this next sentence, the Tesla Roadster would be already at 60mph. It’s proposed that the new Tesla Roadster will be able to do 0-60 mph in a staggering 1.9 seconds.
Let’s continue on the topic of performance by adding the fact that it will be going over 250 mph as a top speed. The number has not been finalized yet, but we cannot wait to see where the numbers land on the page.
So, just based on the numbers alone, this would make the car quite the supercar on it’s own. Petrol or no petrol, the Tesla can run with the bulls and horses without a problem.
But, then you have the added benefit of this supercar being a Tesla, all electric. Range seems to be a usual deterrent to electric cars, but this car boasts a 621-mile range. Almost double the range of gasoline cars in it’s class.
Have your cake and eat it too with the removable glass roof, which we feel definitely changes the look of the car to an edgier convertible sportscar.
The Bottom Line
We welcome back the Tesla Roadster, the car that started off the high-end luxury electric cars for mass-market, but also helped introduce Tesla to the world. We are excited to see the Tesla Roadster live up to the proposed numbers. If you would like to purchase one for yourself, it will be available in 2020, you have to put down $50,000 to reserve and the car itself will cost you $200,000 in total.
